The hug takes Klaus by complete surprise, and for a moment he's too stunned to react. Ben is here, and more than that, he's warm and solid. He's alive.
Klaus's eyes fill with tears and he hugs Ben back just as fiercely, clutching at him and letting out a flabbergasted laugh. They've never hugged like this. They couldn't touch until Klaus worked on his powers, and even then it wasn't this.
But he needed it. They both needed it, and Klaus takes a steadying breath, letting out another astonished laugh when he feels Ben do the same. "You're alive. This is-- this amazing."
